Welcome to Salt Lake City! Arrive at your hotel and enjoy some time on your own this afternoon to relax or venture out to see some of the main attractions. This evening, meet your fellow adventurers at 6 p.m. for a Kick­off Party with your Travel Director.

Day 2: SALT LAKE CITY – JACKSON 

Put on your cowboy hats, pull up your boots and get ready to create memories that will last a lifetime. Head north and enter Wyoming for your first encounter with the mighty Rocky Mountains. Follow trails blazed by rugged mountain men centuries ago. Stop at the Oregon Trail Center in Montpelier to get a glimpse into the thrills and challenges of the Old Trail. Enjoy lunch at the Center before crossing the famous Oregon Trail to the authentic Old West town of Jackson. Passing through the town's famous landmark arch of tangled elk antlers, take a walk back in time as you explore the Town Square with its Western boardwalks, craft boutiques and ice cream shops—all surrounded by the majestic Rockies. Come nightfall, enjoy a Westernstyle Chuckwagon dinner and show.

Day 3: JACKSON – GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK – 320 GUEST RANCH 

Rise early if you'd like to rollick down the Snake River on a scenic optional wilderness float trip (seasonal). Later discover dramatic Grand Teton National Park and the beautiful Jenny Lake. Travel through Yellowstone as you make your way to The Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone. Then it's onward to Montana's Big Sky Country where you will settle in for big fun at an 1898 homestead. This evening, take a wagon ride out to the river for a ribstickin' Chuckwagon Regional Meal.

Day 4: 320 GUEST RANCH – YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK (2 NIGHTS) 

Giddy up cowboys and girls! There are many fun choices on the Ranch this morning: join a whitewater rafting trip or gentle float trip down the Gallatin River, or saddle up and ride with a real­life horse wrangler in the Montana wilderness! After lunch at the Ranch, it's off to Yellowstone, one of America's most famous national parks. Do you know how to to locate a bear or tell what it's been eating? Join your Local Expert for a guided stroll around the boardwalks of Yellowstone and learn the answer, plus even more cool facts about the park's abundance of wildlife.

Day 5: YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME  

Discover Yellowstone's most amazing natural wonders, including the thundering Yellowstone Falls, a multitude of hot gushing geysers and countless brilliantly coloured simmering thermal springs, bubbling mud pools and hissing steam vents, highlighted with a visit to Old Faithful, which has been spouting steam water regularly for thousands of years. All of your senses will be engaged by the roar of steam, the thunder of a waterfall, the bellowing of bison and aweinspiring views at every turn—sights and sounds that make for an experience you'll be talking about for years.

Day 6: YELLOWSTONE – CODY – SHERIDAN

This morning, say farewell to majestic Yellowstone. Head east to the town of Cody, named for its most famous native son, Buffalo Bill. Get a glimpse into the fascinating history of the American West at Buffalo Bill Center of the West where your Local Expert will reveal the culture of the cowboy, the role of the firearm in the early days and the culture and art of the Plains Indians. Then it's on to Sheridan to check into your hotel.

Day 7: SHERIDAN – KEYSTONE - RAPID CITY (2 NIGHTS)

After a hearty breakfast, your journey continues on to South Dakota. Visit Crazy Horse Memorial where you'll gaze in awe at the towering tribute to legendary Lakota leader Crazy Horse being carved into the mountain and discover the culture of his people. The evening is yours to explore in Keystone, once a gold mining boomtown. Or perhaps take an optional trip to the moving Mount Rushmore Lighting Ceremony, a chance to see one of America's most famous landmarks from a different perspective.

Day 8: RAPID CITY AND BLACK HILLS EXCURSION

The first stop this morning is Bear Country USA, a wildlife park featuring the world's largest private viewing habitat of American black bear. Enjoy a drive through this spectacular and unique park and then walk through the Wildlife Center, where younger and smaller animals frolic in their outdoor exhibits. Next, head to the famous Black Hills of South Dakota. Then it's on to view one of America's most iconic landmarks: the presidents sculpted at Mount Rushmore. You have seen the pictures of Mount Rushmore, but they pale in comparison to seeing this majestic site in person. It took 400 artisans 14 years to carve the sculptures of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln into the mountain. This evening, join your fellow adventurers at a Farewell Dinner featuring an American Indian dancer.

Day 9: KEYSTONE – DEPART RAPID CITY OR DEPART DENVER OR EXTEND YOUR STAY IN EITHER CITY

Your Wild West adventure comes to an end after breakfast. Say so long to your newfound friends this morning. You can either fly home or extend your stay in Rapid city or continue onto Denver - traverse some of the heavily forested Black Hills and the expansive grasslands of Wyoming on your way to Denver, the Mile High City, where you can extend your stay, or to Denver International Airport for your flight home.

Please do not schedule your flight before 9:00 PM.
