Day 1: ARRIVE LAS VEGAS

Enjoy your complimentary private V.I.P. door-to-door transfer to your UK departure airport. 

Welcome to Las Vegas! Check into your hotel and relax or maybe do some exploring. Perhaps visit exclusive shops, try your hand at a slot machine or simply relax by the pool. At 6 p.m., gather at the hotel with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a Welcome Reception.

Day 2: LAS VEGAS – ZION AND BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARKS 

Depart the glittering neon gulch of Sin City for the gorgeous wonderland that is Zion National Park. Marvel at the graceful slot canyons, towering cliffs and awe­inspiring monoliths, all carved out over 200 million years from the orange sandstone. Then it's onward to Bryce Canyon, home to the world's largest concentration of hoodoos, those tall limestone spires that rise majestically from the desert floor.

Day 3: BRYCE CANYON – SALT LAKE CITY

Leave the red rock canyons and travel north to Utah's capital. See the famed Temple Square, the Mormon headquarters and home to the renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir. This evening, perhaps enjoy an optional visit to Mormon founder Brigham Young's former home, followed by dinner at the Lion House, featuring pioneer­style ambiance and home­style cuisine.

Day 4: SALT LAKE CITY – JACKSON

Get a glimpse of the route of the pioneers as you cross the Oregon Trail and enter Wyoming. Stop in Montpelier at the Oregon Trail Center. Through interactive exhibits, glimpse the thrills and challenges of the Old Trail. Enjoy lunch before departing to scenic Jackson, standing in the shadows of the icy peaks of the Grand Tetons. The evening is free for you to enjoy. Explore nearby downtown with its quaint shops and many savoury restaurants. Take your photo under the famous elk­antler Arches, pick up some souvenirs for loved ones back home or simply choose to stay and relax at your hotel.

Day 5: JACKSON – GRAND TETON AND YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARKS (2 NIGHTS) 

If you like, hit the water this morning on an optional guided float trip down the lovely Snake River (seasonal). Then traverse Grand Teton National Park with its snow­capped mountains, pristine alpine lakes and evergreen forests on the way to Yellowstone, established in 1872 as the world's first national park. This afternoon, join a Local Expert to explore the spouting geysers, bubbling hot springs and mud paint pots. (When the south entrance is closed due to weather conditions, the itinerary will travel west from Jackson via Idaho and enter Yellowstone National Park through the west entrance.)

Day 6: YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK SIGHTSEEING AND FREE TIME

You could spend a year in Yellowstone and still only scratch the surface of its wonders. Today, explore the impressive Grand Canyon of Yellowstone with its stunning waterfalls and a chance to see wandering herds of bison, elk and even the occasional grizzly bear. You'll have the chance to stroll the boardwalks to view more of the park's fantastical geothermal activity—and no trip to Yellowstone is complete without a sighting of Old Faithful as its waters arc up to 100 feet (30 metres) into the air. This evening, relax under the great basin of stars in one of the country's most beautiful wild places.

Day 7: YELLOWSTONE – CODY – BILLINGS

Head east to the town of Cody, named for its most famous native son, Buffalo Bill, and get a glimpse into its lively history with a Local Expert at the Buffalo Bill Center of the West. Then it's on to Big Sky Country for a Be My Guest dinner of local cuisine with a host who welcomes you with true Western hospitality.

Day 8: BILLINGS – LITTLE BIGHORN – RAPID CITY (2 NIGHTS) 

After saying goodbye to Billings, the "Magic City," your day begins with a visit to Little Bighorn National Monument, site of the infamous battlefield where the ill­fated Custer led his men against a battalion of Sioux and Cheyenne warriors. Then, travel east through the rolling mountains of the Black Hills on your way to Rapid City. The evening is at leisure; relax at your hotel or take some time to explore downtown Rapid City.

Day 9: BLACK HILLS EXCURSION

Discover the natural and manmade wonders of the Black Hills with a drive through stunning scenery on your way to visit Mount Rushmore and the Crazy Horse Memorial, a mountain carving of the famed war chief of the Lakota people. You'll gaze in awe at this towering tribute still being worked on today. Return to Rapid City this afternoon before gathering with your Travel Director and fellow travellers for a festive Farewell Dinner.

Day 10: DEPART RAPID CITY OR DEPART DENVER OR EXTEND YOUR STAY IN EITHER CITY

Say so long to your newfound friends this morning, Either extend you stay or fly home from Rapid City or continue with the trip to Denver, the Mile High City, where you can stay or continue to Denver International Airport and fly home from there.

Please do not schedule any flights before 9pm.
